Inside the World of Broll Property Group’s Cleaning Supervisor Role – A Career That Keeps Luxury Moving

Broll Property Group invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their Cleaning Supervisor Vacancies. The closing date for applications is 09 October 2025. If you have a passion for maintaining top-notch cleanliness and enjoy leading teams in high-end environments, this opportunity might be your perfect fit.

Working as a Cleaning Supervisor at Broll Property Group means being part of something special — a team that ensures South African Airways (SAA) lounges remain spotless, welcoming, and luxurious for every guest. It’s not just about cleaning; it’s about creating a world-class experience that travelers remember.

What This Job Is All About

As a Lounge Cleaning Supervisor, you’ll take charge of keeping the SAA lounges clean, fresh, and shining every single day. You’ll lead a team of hardworking cleaners, make sure tasks are done on time, and check that every corner of the lounge meets Broll’s high standards. Your role helps ensure guests feel comfortable and experience the best of hospitality before their flight.

This is more than a typical cleaning job. It’s a leadership role where you guide others, solve problems, manage stock, and make sure operations run smoothly. You’ll also help train staff, maintain high hygiene levels, and ensure that everyone works according to company rules and airport regulations.

Key Responsibilities You’ll Handle

1. Leading the Cleaning Team:
You’ll plan daily work schedules and lead your team across different lounge areas. From the showers and restrooms to the reception and bar, you’ll make sure everything is spotless. You’ll also support your team by mentoring them, ensuring they’re well-dressed, polite, and professional.

2. Keeping Operations Smooth:
You’ll inspect the lounge using detailed checklists and make sure cleaning tasks are completed on time. This includes paying special attention to high-use areas like bathrooms, kitchens, and sleeping zones. You’ll also handle small staff issues and make sure the shift runs without delays.

3. Managing Stock and Supplies:
The lounges must always be ready for guests, so you’ll keep track of items like toiletries, towels, and cleaning products. You’ll record what’s used daily, order replacements when supplies run low, and make sure everything is properly stored.

4. Training and Quality Control:
You’ll teach new cleaners how things work in the lounge — from safety rules to customer service. You’ll also conduct refresher training to ensure everyone stays up to standard. You’ll help your team understand Broll’s procedures and follow them correctly every day.

5. Reporting and Documentation:
Every day, you’ll fill in checklists, attendance registers, and performance logs. You’ll write short reports about what went well, what needs improvement, and how your team performed. These records help keep track of progress and ensure transparency.

What Success Looks Like in This Role

  • The lounge looks and feels luxurious at all times.
  • Cleaning checklists are completed accurately every shift.
  • Staff maintain high standards in hygiene, grooming, and conduct.
  • Stock is well managed, avoiding shortages that could affect service.
  • Reports are completed on time and accurately reflect daily performance.
  • Guest feedback is handled professionally, ensuring satisfaction.

What You’ll Need to Qualify

  • Education: Matric (Grade 12) is preferred. A certificate in Hospitality, Housekeeping Supervision, or Facilities Management will give you an advantage.
  • Experience: At least 2 years in a supervisory role, ideally in hospitality, an airport lounge, or a luxury setting.
  • Skills: You need strong leadership abilities, excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. You must be comfortable working with checklists and digital tools.

Qualities That Will Make You Stand Out

Broll Property Group is looking for someone who takes pride in their work and has a positive attitude. You should be able to manage people kindly but firmly, ensuring that standards are met without compromising teamwork.

You should be:

  • Proactive and willing to take initiative.
  • Friendly and approachable with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Able to solve problems quickly.
  • Confident in training and guiding others.
  • Organized, disciplined, and results-driven.

Working Environment

This is a shift-based job, which means you’ll sometimes work weekends and public holidays. Because you’ll be in airport lounges, you’ll need security clearance to access certain areas. You’ll also work with cleaning chemicals and interact directly with passengers and SAA staff.

It’s a busy environment, but also one where your efforts are seen and appreciated every single day.

Why This Job Matters

The Cleaning Supervisor role is at the heart of keeping the SAA lounges world-class. Travelers from around the world relax and recharge in these lounges — and your leadership ensures they do so in comfort and cleanliness.

If you enjoy working in a fast-paced, high-standard environment where no two days are the same, this is your chance to join one of South Africa’s leading property and facility management companies.

Broll Property Group values dedication, teamwork, and excellence. As a Cleaning Supervisor, you won’t just manage cleanliness — you’ll help maintain the reputation of a premium brand that’s trusted nationwide.
