Understanding the Cleaner Role

The Cleaner role includes a variety of daily cleaning and support tasks across the school campus. These duties include:

Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping different types of floors
Cleaning classrooms, offices, bathrooms, halls, and other school areas
Dusting ceilings, light fittings, shelves, counters, and furniture
Scrubbing and sanitising toilets, sinks, and kitchen areas
Emptying rubbish bins and ensuring waste is disposed of correctly
Washing and cleaning windows where required
Checking cleaning supplies and reporting low stock to the line manager
Reporting any breakages or damages that happen during cleaning
Informing management about repairs that may be needed
Assisting with school functions or events when required
Following the holiday cleaning duty list during school holidays
