What Is the Jacaranda FM Internship All About?

This isn’t just another internship. The Jacaranda FM News Internship Programme gives you a rare chance to work side by side with professional journalists in one of South Africa’s most popular radio stations. You’ll get real-world experience that goes far beyond textbooks or lectures.

Jacaranda FM is known for playing great music—but they’re also a serious news station trusted by thousands of listeners every day. That means you’ll be learning from the best, inside a newsroom where breaking stories and accurate reporting are part of everyday life.

Why You Should Apply

Let’s be honest—getting your foot in the door in journalism is hard. But this programme is built to help young people like you stand out.

As part of Kagiso Media, Jacaranda FM gives you access to professional tools, hands-on training, and expert guidance. You’ll learn how to write, report, and broadcast real news. And best of all? You’ll get paid a monthly stipend while you learn.
