What You Need to Apply
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience doing similar work.
- Education: You must have a Matric (NQF Level 4) or equivalent. Having a National Diploma (NQF Level 6) is a plus.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a General Worker, you’ll have a set routine to follow to make sure every part of the building stays clean. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Clean Different Areas: Each worker will have their own area to clean to the standards set by the company.
- Empty Bins: Take out the trash and clean the bins in all offices.
- Dust and Tidy: Keep office desks neat and dust-free.
- Vacuum Carpets: Make sure all carpets are clean.
- Clean Bathrooms: Daily cleaning of bathrooms and hand basins.
- Restock Supplies: Make sure items like toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels are always available.
- Wash Floors: Clean the floors in kitchens, bathrooms, corridors, and staircases.
- Clean Kitchen Areas: Keep kitchen cupboards, counters, and fridges clean.
- Dust Surfaces: Damp dusting where needed.
- Check Supplies: Keep track of cleaning materials and let the manager know when to order more.
- Secure Offices: Lock and unlock offices safely.
- Extra Duties: Do any other tasks as needed, including cleaning internal and external glass doors and the lift.
- High Standards: Always aim to keep the building spotless and hygienic.
- Carry Cleaning Equipment: Move around with mops, vacuum cleaners, buckets, and more.
- Clean Office Equipment: Ensure office machinery and equipment are clean.
- Wash Dishes: Clean any dishes used by the staff.
Reporting and Compliance
- Follow Instructions: Take instructions from the Facilities Manager about your work and any special tasks.
- Company Policies: Follow company rules and safety instructions, especially when moving equipment.
- Report Issues: Tell your Line Manager about any problems that might affect the building’s security.
- Health & Safety: Be aware of safety responsibilities for yourself and others.
