About the Warehouse Assistant Role

The Warehouse Assistant position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and pays attention to detail. As a Warehouse Assistant, you’ll help manage the movement of materials and goods within the company’s operations.

Your role will involve receiving, storing, picking, and delivering stock, as well as keeping records accurate and organized. You’ll also ensure that the warehouse runs safely and efficiently every day.


What You’ll Do in This Role

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Helping maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all staff and contractors.
  • Following housekeeping and environmental rules to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Assisting in resolving stock or system queries and making sure inventory is managed properly.
  • Organizing warehouse space to make it easier to find and move stock.
  • Reporting any issues such as damaged or missing items to your supervisor.
  • Making sure safety actions are completed and risks are managed properly.
  • Supporting stock movement tasks, such as receiving, binning, and picking materials as needed.
  • Using FIFO (First In, First Out) principles to manage inventory effectively.
  • Helping to keep warehouse equipment and records up to date.
  • Maintaining accurate records through cycle counting and stock verification.
  • Preparing and submitting necessary documentation like logs, reports, and delivery forms.

You’ll be part of a dedicated warehouse team that ensures all items are handled correctly and delivered on time to different parts of the operation.


What You’ll Need to Qualify

To be considered for the Warehouse Assistant position, you’ll need the following:

  • Grade 12 or N3 Technical Qualification
  • A certificate in Supply Chain or Logistics (NQF4) will be an advantage
  • 2–3 years of warehouse experience or related work experience
  • Good computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to stay organized
  • A valid South African driver’s license (Code B)
  • Additional licenses such as Forklift, Reach Truck, O/H Crane, or Truck License are a plus

Where You’ll Work
