Limpopo Traffic Officer Learnership 2025 – 154 Government Posts Now Open! Earn While You Train

The Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety is inviting suitable and qualified young South Africans to apply for the Traffic Learner Officer Learnership Programme 2025. There are 154 positions available across all districts in Limpopo. This is a paid training opportunity with a stipend of R67,675.56 per year. About the Limpopo Traffic Officer Learnership 2025

The Traffic Learner Officer Learnership is a structured 12-month training programme that combines both classroom learning and hands-on fieldwork. By the end of the programme, learners will have the skills and knowledge needed to become qualified traffic officers.

This opportunity is perfect for young people who are passionate about safety and want to serve their communities. Once you successfully complete the programme, you’ll be well-prepared to apply for permanent positions in the traffic law enforcement sector.

Minimum Requirements to Apply

To be considered for this learnership, you must meet the following requirements:

  • A Grade 12 certificate (matric) or equivalent qualification.
  • Be 18 to 35 years old.
  • A valid Code B driver’s licence for manual transmission vehicles.
  • South African citizen with valid ID proof.
  • No criminal record.
  • No visible tattoos that could be considered unprofessional.
  • A medical certificate proving you are fit for intense physical activities.
  • Must not be declared unfit to possess a firearm under the Firearm Control Act, 2000.
  • Be willing to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

Duties and Responsibilities

As a traffic learner officer, you’ll be trained and expected to:

  • Learn and apply traffic laws and enforcement procedures.
  • Assist in traffic control and accident prevention.
  • Participate in road safety campaigns to educate the public.
  • Support law enforcement activities such as roadblocks and vehicle compliance checks.
  • Show discipline, integrity, and professionalism at all times.

Key Skills Needed

  • Good communication skills, both spoken and written.
  • Strong discipline and commitment to public safety.
  • The ability to work well in a team.
