What You’ll Do as a Personal Assistant

In this role, you’ll be working closely with a senior executive. You’ll manage their calendar, organize their meetings, make travel arrangements, and handle their communication. It’s a big responsibility, but if you’re organized and love staying ahead of things, you’ll enjoy the challenge.

Here’s a full list of what you’ll be doing:

  • Organize and manage the executive’s daily schedule and meetings.
  • Handle phone calls, emails, and other messages.
  • Make travel plans, both locally and internationally.
  • Set up meetings, take notes, and follow up on action items.
  • Keep documents safe and easy to find – both online and on paper.
  • Help manage budgets and process payments for events and expenses.
  • Track monthly reports and keep everything running smoothly in the office.
  • Plan events and make sure everything is done professionally and on time.
  • Stay on top of project deadlines and help with planning.
  • Be part of the executive’s team by supporting everyone with travel and admin needs.
  • Keep things private – you’ll be trusted with sensitive info.

What You Need to Apply

To qualify for this role, here’s what MTN is looking for:

Education:

  • A degree in Secretarial Administration or a related course.

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of work experience in admin support.
  • Experience supporting top managers in big companies, including handling both local and international duties.

Skills and Abilities:

  • You know your way around Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office tools.
  • You understand how company policies work and know how to follow them.
  • You’re good with people, from junior staff to senior managers.
  • You’re confident, even when things get stressful.
  • You can manage your time well and juggle multiple tasks.
  • You have excellent communication and writing skills.
  • You understand the importance of keeping things private.
