What You’ll Need to Join Us
- Education: You should be working towards a degree in Food Science, Technology, or a related field like Food & Beverage Operations.
- Legal Stuff: You must have a driver’s license since some local travel might be required.
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of food microbiology, food processing, research methods, and food laws.
- Skills: Basic experience in food photography is a plus!

Your Role and Responsibilities
Concept Development
- Plan and Create: Work on concept plans that align with our brand’s vision.
- Research: Explore food trends and innovations to find out what customers want.
- Build and Review: Develop new food concepts and test them to see which ones customers love.
- Test: Conduct research to gather data on your concepts.
Product Development, Research, and Costing
- Prototype Development: Experiment with raw ingredients to create new products.
- Taste Tests: Conduct taste tests with target audiences to find the best products.
- Launch: Follow Nando’s process from idea to launch.
- Safety and Specs: Ensure all products meet food safety laws and have detailed specifications.
- Allergen Info: Keep our allergen booklet up-to-date with the latest information.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Operations Team: Work with them to make sure new products can be made efficiently.
- Supply Chain: Help source ingredients and packaging while keeping costs in check.
- Enhancements: Work on improving existing products.
- Training: Collaborate with the Learning and Development team to create training materials.
Trial Preparation, Validations, and Monitoring
- Photoshoots: Support our brand at photoshoots to create amazing food photography.
- Standard Procedures: Ensure recipes match our methods.
- Monitoring: Observe trials to make sure product protocols are followed.
- Launch Ready: Confirm everything is set for a successful product launch.
