What’s This Job About?

As a Casual Cashier at Dis-Chem, your job will be more than just working a till. You’ll be the face of the store—helping customers, handling payments, and making sure everyone has a great shopping experience.

Your daily tasks will include:

Greeting customers and being helpful
Processing payments using the Dis-Chem system
Handling cash, cards, coupons, and loyalty points
Making sure prices are correct and items are scanned properly
Dealing with returns and exchanges

Keeping cash safe and following all store policies

You’ll also need to follow Dis-Chem’s customer service rules and help the store run smoothly and safely.

What You Need to Apply

To get started as a Casual Cashier, you’ll need:

Matric/Grade 12 certificate
At least 6 months experience in cashier or till operations
Computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office
Good maths skills
A strong understanding of English (spoken and written)
