If you’re between the ages of 18 and 35 and looking for a solid career path, Novus Print, one of South Africa’s leading printing and manufacturing companies, has opened applications for its Apprenticeship Programme starting in January 2026. This 3-year, hands-on training opportunity is designed to help unemployed youth become skilled professionals in high-demand technical printing trades.

Whether you’ve always been curious about how books, packaging, and newspapers are printed—or you’re just ready for a change—this is a golden chance to learn, grow, and build a real future.

Apply before 30 July 2025 to secure your spot in this life-changing programme.

What Is the Novus Print Apprenticeship Programme?

The Novus Print Apprenticeship Programme is a fully structured 36-month training experience that gives young people the tools and knowledge they need to succeed in the technical side of the printing industry. You’ll get a mix of classroom learning and real-world work experience, all under the guidance of experts in the field.

At the end of the programme, you’ll be fully prepared to take a national trade test — a big step toward becoming a qualified artisan in South Africa’s printing and production industry.

Available Apprenticeship Trades for 2026

Novus Print is offering apprenticeships in the following specialist fields:

  • Lithography Press – the process behind printing newspapers, packaging, and flyers.
  • Electronic Pre-Press – working with the digital side of preparing images and layouts before printing.
  • Mechanised Bookbinding – the skill of turning printed pages into books and magazines.
  • Gravure Press – a high-speed printing process used for long runs like catalogues.
  • Sheetfed Press – often used for top-quality commercial printing.

These are real trades with real demand in the South African market — not just another short course.
