What You’ll Be Doing Daily

As a Control Room Operator, your main responsibility will be to keep all sites secure and operational at all times. You’ll use CCTV systems, radio communication, and other security tools to monitor activity and coordinate responses.

Your key duties will include:

  • Communicating with on-site security teams to make sure all posts are staffed and running effectively.
  • Monitoring and reviewing patrol reports to ensure all guards are following proper procedures.
  • Watching over multiple sites using CCTV and surveillance systems.
  • Performing panic alarm tests twice weekly to ensure systems are working correctly.
  • Responding to incidents quickly and following company escalation procedures when necessary.
  • Keeping detailed logs and incident reports for management review.

This position demands focus, quick thinking, and professionalism — no two days are ever the same.


What You Need to Qualify

  • Previous experience in a security control room or similar role (advantageous but not mandatory).
  • Strong communication skills — both written and verbal — to ensure clear and accurate reporting.
  • Calmness under pressure, especially during emergencies or high-stress situations.
  • Great attention to detail, ensuring that nothing goes unnoticed.
  • Teamwork skills — while much of your work is independent, collaboration is key.
