Are you a tech-savvy professional ready to make a national impact? The Parliament of the Republic of South Africa is looking for an experienced Information and Systems Security Specialist to join their ICT Division on a 5-year fixed term contract (with a 6-month probation).

🔐 Your Role:

As the guardian of Parliament’s digital infrastructure, you’ll design and implement cybersecurity solutions that protect sensitive systems from cyber threats, secure both cloud-hosted and on-premise systems, and drive risk assessment and disaster recovery strategies.

💼 Key Duties Include:

Ensuring top-notch cybersecurity & information security
Managing security risk analysis, audits & response plans
Leading disaster recovery & business continuity efforts
Delivering security training across ICT teams
Staying ahead with penetration testing, IDS/IPS, cloud security, and regulatory compliance (POPIA, ISO27001, NIST, etc.)

✅ Minimum Requirements:

Matric (Grade 12) or NQF level 4
Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent
At least 5 years’ experience in cybersecurity roles
One or more certifications: CEH, CISM, CISSP, CCSP, CISA, GIAC

⭐ Bonus Skills That Will Set You Apart:

Knowledge of frameworks like COBIT, TOGAF, ISO 27001/2, ITIL
Experience with VMware, Windows/Linux OS, TCP/IP, Cryptography
Strong grasp of governance, audit standards, secure SDLC, and network security
Strategic thinking, strong ethics, analytical & communication skills
