Job Purpose: Code 10 Driver

The main responsibility of a Code 10 Driver at Pedros is to safely transport goods from one point to another within a given time frame. You will be trusted with ensuring that all deliveries are made accurately, efficiently, and in line with road safety rules and company standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

As a Code 10 Driver at Pedros, your daily tasks will include:

1. Following schedules and procedures to deliver goods on time.
2. Handling the company vehicle responsibly and ensuring safe operation at all times.
3. Carrying out daily vehicle inspections and reporting mechanical faults immediately.
4. Completing vehicle inspection sheets and ensuring refueling is done when required.
5. Checking the truck list and following the correct route to the destination.
6. Inspecting the vehicle and load before departure to ensure safety and compliance.
7. Practicing safe driving habits, including:
   • Wearing seat belts at all times
   • Avoiding speeding, eating, smoking, or using mobile devices while driving
8. Adhering strictly to the Road Traffic Act and prioritizing the safety of other road users.
9. Following all rules under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
10. Complying with company policies, safety rules, and industry regulations.
11. Making sure vehicles are correctly loaded and that load documentation matches deliveries.
12. Confirming correct quantities and products are delivered at each stop.
13. Obtaining proof of delivery signatures from clients.
14. Loading and offloading products, including pallets, when needed.
15. Returning empty containers, products, or undelivered invoices back to the warehouse.
16. Keeping the truck and workspace clean and organized in line with 5S standards.
17. Reporting to work in proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
18. Being punctual for every shift, even during early morning call-ins.
19. Willingness to work day or night shifts when scheduled.
20. Recording daily activities on the company system.
21. Completing all delivery-related documents accurately and on time.

• At least 5 years proven work experience as a driver in the industry.
