Job Description

As a Bakery Attendant, you’ll play a key role in making sure the production line runs smoothly by mixing ingredients correctly, keeping things organized, and following all safety and food regulations. You’ll also work closely with supervisors and other team members to solve any issues that may come up during your shift.

Responsibilities

Here’s what you’ll be doing day-to-day as a Bakery Attendant:

Mixing Ingredients: You’ll make sure the correct mixing volumes are used, so everything gets blended perfectly.

Moving Products for Processing: Ensure the mixing bowl gets to the tipper area for further processing quickly and efficiently.

Using the Right Ingredients: It’s important to follow recipes closely, using the correct ingredients as specified for each batch.

Minimizing Damages: Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure minimal waste or damage to the products.

Communication: Keep open communication with supervisors about any problems or challenges during your shift.

Adhering to Food Safety Rules: To maintain the quality of the products, you’ll need to follow all food safety regulations carefully.

Following Safety Procedures: Wear your personal protective equipment (PPE) and work safely at all times.

Assisting in Production: Be ready to assist in other areas of the production department as required.

Supporting During Breakdowns: If something goes wrong, help to fix the issue quickly to keep things moving on the production line.

To be eligible for this role, you’ll need the following:

Grade 12/NQF 3 or Equivalent
1 to 2 years of experience in a related field
