Qualifications and Skills:

Nando’s is looking for enthusiastic individuals with the following qualifications and skills:

Grade 10 or equivalent: A basic education level is required, but previous experience is not mandatory.

Teamwork: You need to be able to work well with others in a busy, fast-paced environment.

Communication skills: Good interpersonal skills are key, especially for waiters and waitresses who will be interacting with customers.

Willingness to work shifts: You must be open to working during weekends, public holidays, and possibly evenings.

Experience (Advantageous but Not Necessary): If you’ve worked in a restaurant before, that’s great, but Nando’s is willing to train anyone who’s eager to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

Here’s what you can expect in each role:

Griller:

• Prepare and grill Nando’s signature peri-peri chicken to perfection.
• Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ensure that all orders are prepared and served on time.
• Work in a busy kitchen, often under pressure.

Dishwasher:

• Keep the kitchen running smoothly by washing dishes and kitchen tools quickly and effectively.
• Ensure all items are cleaned and ready for use by the cooks and servers.
• Help keep the kitchen clean and sanitized at all times.

Waiter/Waitress:

• Provide excellent service by greeting customers, taking orders, and serving food.
• Handle any customer inquiries and make sure they leave satisfied.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the dining area.
• Communicate clearly with the kitchen staff to ensure orders are correct.
