As a Shop Assistant at SPCC, your main job is to make sure customers feel welcome and satisfied when they visit the store. You will help customers find what they need, assist at the till, and keep the store clean and organised.

You will be working in a retail store environment where teamwork and customer service are very important.

Your Daily Responsibilities

In this role, you will be expected to do a variety of tasks. These tasks help the store run smoothly and keep customers happy.

Customer Service

Greet customers and assist them in a friendly way
Help customers find products quickly
Answer questions and provide helpful information
Always be polite and ready to help

Till Operations

Work at the cash register (till)
Handle payments accurately
Avoid mistakes like overcharging or undercharging
Keep records clean and correct

Store Maintenance

Keep the shop floor clean and organised
Make sure products are displayed properly
Maintain high standards of cleanliness
Take action when something needs to be fixed or cleaned

Teamwork and Responsibility

Arrive at work on time every day
Work well with other team members
Follow company rules and procedures
Show a positive attitude at all times

Minimum Requirements

Before applying, make sure you meet the following requirements:

Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent
At least 1–2 years of retail experience
Basic computer skills
Ability to speak and understand English well
Any extra language will be an advantage

This is not a job for complete beginners, but you don’t need many years of experience either.
