Power Fashion Assistant Store Manager

Be Part of a Dynamic Retail Team

As an Assistant Store Manager at Power Fashion, you’ll play an important role in helping the store run smoothly every day. You’ll support the Store Manager by ensuring that the shop stays clean, organized, and well-stocked, while also keeping both staff and customers happy. When the Store Manager is away, you’ll take full responsibility for leading the team and keeping everything running efficiently.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being hands-on, loves working with people, and can stay calm and focused under pressure. You’ll help maintain Power Fashion’s strong reputation by making sure company standards are followed and that customers have the best possible shopping experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manage daily store operations: Support the Store Manager in keeping everything organized and running smoothly.
  • Lead the team: Motivate and guide employees to reach their targets and provide excellent service.
  • Handle money and banking: Make sure all cash is handled safely and correctly.
  • Maintain high standards: Keep the store clean, organized, and looking great for customers.
  • Control stock and prevent loss: Watch over store inventory and minimize shrinkage.
  • Customer service: Assist customers with their needs, solve problems, and ensure they leave satisfied.
  • Support sales growth: Introduce ideas and strategies to help the store reach its goals.
  • Ensure compliance: Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and security rules.
  • Oversee the cash office: Make sure transactions are recorded accurately and reports are completed on time.

What You Need to Qualify

Education:

  • Matric / Grade 12 (Mathematics is an advantage) or NQF Level 4.

Experience:

  • Prior experience managing people or leading a team.
  • Experience managing a department or working in a retail setting (clothing retail is a plus).

Skills and Qualities:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong decision-making and leadership abilities.
  • Great at planning and maintaining productivity.
  • Honest, reliable, and professional.
  • Self-motivated and proactive—someone who takes initiative without waiting to be told.
