Position Overview

As a Teacher Assistant at Pretoria Pre-Primary, you will play a vital role in supporting the classroom teacher and contributing to the overall success of our students. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in preparing children holistically for the next grade, ensuring they are school-ready and equipped for future success.

Key Responsibilities

Classroom Support: Assist the classroom teacher with all duties, including lesson preparation and student supervision.
School Ethos: Uphold and promote the ethos and values of Crawford International.
Student Preparation: Help prepare children holistically for the next grade, focusing on their academic, social, and emotional development.
School Readiness: Assist students in developing the necessary skills and knowledge to be school-ready.
Continuous Assessment: Participate in continuous assessment of student progress, communicating findings to parents through interviews and written reports.
Team Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a team, contributing to the overall success of the school.
Daily Program: Follow a well-designed daily program to ensure a structured and effective learning environment.
Event Participation: Participate in general school events throughout the year, contributing to the school community.
Learning Integration: Integrate all learning activities through active involvement, promoting an informal teaching style that emphasizes learning through play.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Requirement: Matric Certificate.
Experience: Must have prior experience working with young children in a similar position and environment.

Start Date

The position is available starting 1 September 2024.
