Main Duties and Responsibilities

This Storeman position comes with a variety of daily and ongoing responsibilities that require both a hands-on approach and an eye for detail:

1. Customer Assistance: Help customers in a friendly, professional manner at the issue and receiving counter. Be the face of the store and make each interaction positive and efficient.
2. Authorization Checks: Review signatures on Stock and Supply Requests (SSR) to confirm authorization before proceeding with stock issues.
3. Daily Data Capturing: Accurately capture SSRs and invoices each day to ensure up-to-date records in the system.
4. Loading & Offloading Support: Assist in loading and offloading stock items, ensuring safe handling practices.
5. Inventory Accuracy: Check SSRs daily against the Inventory Journal printout to make sure records are correct.

1. Quarterly Stock Counts: Participate in stock counts every three months, helping maintain precise stock levels.
2. Housekeeping: Keep the stores area tidy and organized, so it’s a safe, efficient workspace for everyone.
3. Handling Returns and Repairs: Complete Goods Returned Authorization (GRA) forms for any stock items that need to be returned or repaired.
4. Stock Organization: Ensure that stock is neatly and accurately placed in its designated areas each day.
5. Safety Compliance: Follow SHERQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, and Quality) procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
6. Ethical Standards: Uphold Rainbow’s high ethical standards and adhere to the Rainbow Production Model (RPM) requirements.
7. Data Management: Support the team in capturing accurate information for reporting purposes, allowing management to access reliable data for business decisions.
8. Self-Management: Take ownership of your responsibilities, prioritize tasks, and follow through to ensure productivity and quality standards are consistently met.
