Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, you’ll need:

Grade 12 Certificate: A basic educational requirement.
1 Year of Cleaning Experience: Prior experience in a similar role.
Basic Literacy and Communication Skills: Essential for performing daily tasks effectively.
General Cleaning and Ad Hoc Tasks: Flexibility to handle various cleaning duties.
Customer Care: A friendly attitude towards staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

As a Barrage Cleaner at Rand Water, your primary duties will include:

Requesting and Managing Cleaning Materials: Ordering supplies from the Protective Services Section (PSS) and maintaining an inventory of stock.
Issuing Cleaning Supplies: Keeping track of cleaning materials provided to Private Security personnel.
Office Cleaning: Ensuring the cleanliness of Protective Services Offices, guardhouses, OPS rooms, windows, and walls.
Specialized Cleaning: Taking care of the boat house, boat, TV room, and conference room, including setting up for meetings.
Restocking Ablution Supplies: Filling liquid hand soap, and ensuring paper towels and toilet rolls are available as needed.
