Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

Grade 12 Certificate: A basic educational qualification.
Valid Code 8/B/EB Driver’s Licence: Unendorsed and essential for the role.
5 Years’ Driving Experience: Proven experience on the road is crucial.
Local Residency: Preferably residing in Tshikota, Louis Trichardt (Makhado), Tshikuwi, or Ntjelele cross for easy accessibility.
Language Skills: Proficiency in written and verbal English, plus one additional language.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
Independent Work Ability: Self-motivated with the capacity to make sound judgments.
Medical Fitness: A certificate proving medical fitness is required.
Shift Work: Willingness to work different shifts, as needed.

Key Responsibilities

As a Patrol Driver at The Tolcon Group, your primary duties will include:

Adhering to Company Policies: Following all shift procedures and company guidelines.
Patrolling Assigned Areas: Monitoring the N1 North route for potential hazards.
Safety Assistance: Helping road users with breakdowns, providing essentials like petrol or water, and assisting with tyre changes.
Accident Response: Offering first aid, securing accident scenes, and pre-warning other road users.
Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance: Keeping patrol vehicles, tools, and equipment in top condition.
Incident Reporting: Documenting and reporting any damages, incidents, or shortages to the call centre.
