RCL Foods invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their Learnership Programme. This exciting opportunity is open now, and interested candidates are encouraged to submit their applications before the official closing date of 4 December 2025. This programme offers young people a chance to gain real skills and kick-start their career in the baking and food manufacturing industry.
Many young people finish school and struggle to find real workplace experience. The RCL Foods Learnership gives you a chance to work, learn, and get a recognised qualification at the same time. Instead of only studying from a textbook, you will be learning on the job while being guided by experienced mentors. This programme gives you a chance to build your confidence, gain real skills, and develop into a professional that employers want.
The learnership runs for 12 months and is designed to give learners both theory and practical experience. During this year, learners will join a structured mentorship and coaching programme that teaches them the baking process from start to finish. You will also gain real workplace exposure inside the RCL Foods environment, learning exactly what the job requires and how the industry operates.
This learnership is accredited by SETA, which means that everything you learn is officially recognised in South Africa. Once you successfully complete the programme, you will receive a qualification that is endorsed by SAQA. This helps you stand out when applying for future jobs or further studies, because employers take formal qualifications seriously.
RCL Foods provides training through the Supreme Siyabhaka Academy. Their focus is centred around three important goals:
South Africa needs more skilled workers in the baking and food industry. Many learners have the passion and potential but lack opportunities. This programme aims to nurture talent and turn learners into employable young professionals who can confidently take on jobs in bakery production and related fields.
RCL Foods wants the brands linked to their baking operations to be known as leaders in quality, excellence, and consistency. When learners are trained to high standards, the products produced in stores and bakeries also improve. This builds trust with customers and strengthens the company name in the industry.
The Academy aims to refresh how people think about in-store bakery products. By setting new standards in skill, quality, and customer experience, they hope to shift consumer expectations and raise bakery performance across the industry. This means customers get better service, better products, and a more enjoyable bakery experience overall.
The programme has specific requirements to ensure that learners are prepared to succeed. Applicants must have:
Many young South Africans want a chance to build a future but lack access to real learning and workplace exposure. This learnership is a platform to gain valuable experience and become part of a well-known organisation that values growth and development. If you are a young person with passion, drive, and interest in food manufacturing or bakery production, the RCL Foods Learnership is a powerful step toward your future. It offers a structured learning experience, certified training, and real exposure that helps you grow personally and professionally. This is your chance to join an organisation that invests in talent and helps young people build careers that matter.
