As a Shop Assistant Cashier, you’ll be responsible for helping customers, managing transactions, and keeping the store organized. Join us and make sure our customers have a great shopping experience!
Your main job is to make sure customers leave the store satisfied and happy. Here’s what your day-to-day will look like:
Customer Service: Greet customers with a smile and make sure they have a pleasant shopping experience. Help them find products and answer any questions they may have.
Checkout Operations: You’ll be ringing up purchases accurately at the checkout and handling all types of payments—whether it’s cash, debit, or credit cards. It’s important to be precise to avoid mistakes.
Stock Management: Keep the store shelves full and organized by stocking new products. You’ll also ensure that all the items on display look neat and are easy for customers to find.
Assist Customers: Help customers pick out items, recommend products, and even encourage them to buy a little extra by highlighting promotions and deals.
Answer Phone Calls: From time to time, you’ll answer phone calls and assist customers with any questions or issues they may have.
Maintain Store Cleanliness: Keeping the store clean and tidy is crucial. You’ll make sure that everything is in its place, and the store looks great throughout the day.
Handle Banking and Payments: You’ll be responsible for handling cash and card payments, making sure everything is done correctly. You’ll also help with daily banking tasks.
Support Store Operations: Assist the manager with stock checks and use special tools and software to help with receiving and organizing deliveries.
Health and Safety: You’ll need to know and follow all health and safety rules to make sure the store remains a safe place for everyone.
Loss Prevention: Help the store meet its sales goals by keeping an eye on stock and preventing losses. You’ll also help the team create plans to improve sales.
