Job Description: What You’ll Be Doing
1. Escorting Visitors
- Ensure all visitors are authorized by the relevant department head before entering.
- Escort visitors to their destination or arrange for someone to collect them at the entrance.
- Lock visitors’ cell phones and weapons in a designated safe.
- Issue access permits to visitors and collect them upon departure.
2. Policy Compliance
- Confirm the identity of all visitors before granting access.
- Ensure after-hours visitors comply with company policies.
- Monitor suppliers and service providers, ensuring they don’t roam unsupervised and leave once their duties are done.
- Employees must not access departments they are not assigned to.
3. Conducting Searches
- Perform searches ethically, according to company policy.
- Search employees, visitors, parcels, trolleys, bags, and tool cases for unauthorized company assets.
- Report suspicious findings to the Security Compliance Officer immediately.
- Maintain control over visitors’ and employees’ firearms, cell phones, and cameras.
4. Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate records for the removal of company property.
- Keep a detailed register of company assets, including serial numbers of equipment.
- Ensure visitor slips are correctly filled out upon entry and exit.
