What Does a Workshop Foreman Do at Senwes?

As the Workshop Foreman, you’ll be in charge of managing both the technical and admin side of the workshop. Your role is to make sure everything works like clockwork – from fixing tractors to handling paperwork. Key Responsibilities You’ll Take On

Here’s what you’ll be doing on a daily basis:

1. Managing the Workshop

• Open and manage job cards accurately.

• Give technical advice to both team members and clients.
• Keep the claims room neat and organized.
• Check up on tractors and service vehicles to make sure they’re in great shape.

2. Working with Clients & Marketing

• Plan and run special events like client clinics and inspections.

• Talk to customers regularly and sort out their problems quickly.

3. Admin Tasks

• Create and check important reports.
• Help manage the workshop budget.
• Make sure all internal and external communications are clear and professional.
• Always follow health and safety rules.

4. Mentoring the Team

• Plan the team’s schedules and make sure there’s enough hands on deck.
• Give honest and helpful feedback.
• Help team members grow their skills and careers.
• Ensure all legal and company rules are followed.

5. Using Your Technical Skills

Do You Meet the Requirements?

To apply for this role, you’ll need the following:

• A qualification as a Diesel Technician.
• A National Senior Certificate (Matric).
• At least 2 years of experience working with agricultural mechanical equipment.
• Experience working with John Deere equipment will be an added bonus.
