Job Overview

The Picker/Packer position reports directly to the Warehouse Manager. You will be part of a hardworking team responsible for keeping operations organized, efficient, and safe. This role involves a mix of manual tasks, machine operation, and stock management, making it perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment.


Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Matric Certificate (Grade 12).
  • Valid Reach Truck License and Forklift License.
  • Previous warehouse experience is essential.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately in a busy environment.
  • Commitment to keeping the work area clean, safe, and well-organized.
  • Ability to follow operational and safety guidelines at all times.
  • Willingness to assist with loading and unloading goods when needed.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

As a Picker/Packer at Servest, you will be responsible for:

  • Picking stock using Granite scanners and preparing it for dispatch.
  • Receiving stock and stacking it in designated warehouse locations.
  • Moving and organizing stock on pallets for safe storage.
  • Identifying damaged or expired stock and reporting it to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Performing daily checks on reach trucks, reporting any defects or issues.
  • Putting away stock and ensuring items are stored correctly.
  • Participating in monthly stock counts and regular cycle counts.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly warehouse environment.
