What Is a Floor Supervisor at Sheet Street?

As a Floor Supervisor, your main goal is to help the Store Manager reach sales targets and make sure the store runs smoothly. You’ll be part of the team, but also a team leader – motivating others, helping customers, and keeping everything organized and efficient on the shop floor.

What You’ll Be Doing Every Day

Here are some of the important tasks you’ll be responsible for:

• Help Drive Sales: Support the Store Manager in reaching the store’s daily and monthly sales goals.
• Create a Great Shopping Experience: Make sure customers feel welcome, assisted, and happy while shopping.
• Motivate and Guide Your Team: Encourage your teammates to perform at their best, reach sales targets, and work together.
• Maintain Store Standards: Ensure that the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
• Problem Solving: Step in when challenges come up — from customer queries to team issues — and help find quick solutions.
• Lead by Example: Be a positive, hardworking, and friendly leader that others want to follow.

Do You Qualify?

This is a great job for someone who is ready to take on more responsibility in a fast-paced retail environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric) is essential.
• At least 1 year of experience as a supervisor or in a team-leading role in retail.
• A strong interest in home décor or homeware — if you enjoy making spaces look and feel beautiful, you’ll fit right in.

Having extra experience in leadership or customer service will be a big plus. If you’ve helped lead a team before, you’re already on the right track.
