As a Shop Assistant Cashier, your main purpose will be to deliver excellent customer service while handling daily store operations. Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Point-of-Sale Activities: Accurately scanning merchandise and processing payments quickly and efficiently.
• Cash Handling: Ensuring the safe handling of cash at all times.
• Clubcard Promotions: Proactively promoting the Clicks Clubcard, enrolling new members, and meeting clubcard participation targets.
• Customer Awareness: Informing customers about current promotions to boost sales and create a “feel good, pay less” experience.
• Customer Service: Acting as a brand ambassador, being visible in the store, and offering friendly, professional service.
• Merchandising: Maintaining high store standards by executing merchandising and housekeeping tasks.
• Stock Knowledge: Staying up to date with products, ranges, and promotions so you can provide accurate information to customers.
• Team Support: Living and driving the company’s values while supporting the vision to remain South Africa’s number one health and beauty retailer.

What You’ll Need to Qualify

To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following minimum requirements:

Education Requirements

• Essential: Grade 12 (Matric).
• Desirable: At least 50% in Maths and English at Grade 12 level.

Experience Requirements

• Experience in a customer-facing role within retail or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) is desirable, but not essential.
