About the Job

As a Shop Assistant Cashier, your mission is to deliver exceptional service and create a positive customer experience at every interaction. You’ll play a key role in the store’s success by managing point-of-sale (POS) transactions, maintaining merchandising standards, and ensuring every customer leaves the store feeling good and paying less.

What You’ll Do

Accurately scan merchandise and process payments efficiently.
Promote and enroll customers for the Clicks ClubCard, meeting participation targets.
Handle cash safely and responsibly at all times.
Inform customers about promotions and special offers to boost sales.
Deliver outstanding customer service by being friendly, helpful, and professional.
Maintain store cleanliness, organize shelves, and follow merchandising guidelines.
Stay informed about current products, ranges, and promotions to assist customers effectively.

What You Need

Education:

Essential: Grade 12 (Matric)
Desirable: Minimum 50% in both Maths and English

Experience:

Experience in a retail or customer service environment is desirable.

Skills and Knowledge:

Basic math skills and numeracy.
Understanding of retail, merchandising, and promotions.
Familiarity with stock management procedures.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
Computer literacy and problem-solving skills.
