Shoprite is looking for a Buyer’s Assistant to help support their Foods Buying Team by managing pricing, purchase orders, and supplier communication. If you have experience in retail buying, planning, or administration, this could be the perfect role for you!

📌 Key Responsibilities (What You’ll Be Doing):

🔹 Ensure correct product costs are loaded into the system for accurate stock ordering.
🔹 Set up pricing, pack sizes, and cost details for products.
🔹 Verify and correct pricing errors after buyers and planners set up store clusters.
🔹 Accurately capture and update retail prices in the system.
🔹 Resolve store queries related to stock issues, mispicks, and barcode errors.
🔹 Assist with customer queries regarding stock availability.

🔹 Process new product listings and update details on SAP Buying.
🔹 Coordinate with DC Planners and Suppliers to ensure smooth stock deliveries.
🔹 Manage product discontinuations, markdowns, and de-linking from the system.
🔹 Maintain accurate records of invoices, costings, and supplier documents.
🔹 Generate detailed reports for the Buyer’s team to assist in decision-making.
🔹 Track KPIs and performance, solving issues as they arise.

✅ Who Can Apply? (Minimum Requirements)

✔ Grade 12 (Matric) – Required
✔ 1+ years of experience in buying, planning, or retail administration.
✔ Experience working in a retail buying environment is a plus.
✔ Strong computer skills – Must be comfortable with MS Office 365 & Excel.
✔ Exposure to SAP Buying/Retail systems – Advantageous.
