What You’ll Be Doing as Butchery Manager

You will run the day-to-day operations of the Meat Market, keeping a close eye on stock levels and budgets. Managing staff and making sure they perform well is important, as is maintaining high-quality standards and hygiene. You’ll also help promote products in ways that add value for customers. Your goal is to keep customers happy by providing excellent service and fresh, well-managed meat products.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Meat Market team effectively.
• Ensure customers are fully satisfied with products and service.
• Plan and control stock and product availability.
• Oversee all quality control standards for products.
• Handle administrative duties for smooth operation.
• Manage hygiene and safety procedures to keep the workplace safe and clean.
• Support the team with extra tasks as needed.

What You Need to Qualify

• Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 certificate.
• Blockman qualification at NQF Level 3.
• Proven management experience.
• Experience in the meat industry.
• Knowledge of hygiene and safety rules for meat markets.
• Understanding of different meat cuts and products.
• Basic first aid knowledge is a plus.
