Key Responsibilities:

As a General Warehouse Assistant at Signature Cosmetics, your primary role will be to assist in various warehouse operations, including packing, checking, and replenishing stock. Your responsibilities include:

Product Checking: Ensure all received products are sealed according to required standards, free from leaks, and not expired before moving them to the appropriate bin location.

Stock Replenishment: Replenish bin locations following the stock holding/picking principles, including:

Front to back, top to bottom, left to right placement.

Replenishing according to pack size and rotation procedures (FIFO).

Ensuring all replenished products are in clean, saleable condition.

Reporting: Report any damaged packages/products or stock concerns to the line manager immediately.

Cycle and Stock Counts: Participate in cycle and stock counts to ensure inventory accuracy.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to achieve collective team goals.

Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to Health and Safety guidelines and maintain housekeeping standards, ensuring that all areas are clean and free of wrapping, waste, and damaged stock.

Stock Handling: Handle all stock according to signage, ensuring fragile items are treated with care and in line with safety procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Education: Grade 12 (Matric) is required.
• Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment, particularly in picking, packing, checking, replenishing, and dispatching stock.
• Product Knowledge: Familiarity with various cosmetics and fragrance products.
• Technical Skills: Computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Excel, and a basic understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Stock Handling Experience: Experience in cycle counts and stock take is advantageous.
