💼 What You’ll Be Doing (Job Responsibilities)

As a SPAR Cashier, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring smooth store operations and providing friendly, efficient service to customers.

🛍️ Customer Service & Sales:

✅ Greet customers with a warm smile and friendly attitude
✅ Help customers with purchases, promotions, and specials
✅ Answer customer queries and handle complaints professionally
✅ Promote store events and assist in improving customer experience

💰 Handling Payments & Transactions:

✅ Use the cash register/POS system to process purchases
✅ Accept cash, debit cards, and credit card payments accurately
✅ Balance the till and monitor cash levels
✅ Issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges as per store policies

🛒 Stock & Store Maintenance:

✅ Keep the checkout area clean and organized
✅ Bag, box, or wrap items neatly and efficiently
✅ Restock shelves and sort returned items
✅ Receive, verify, and unpack new stock

📢 Communication & Problem-Solving:

✅ Work closely with supervisors and colleagues to ensure smooth operations
✅ Notify management about serious customer concerns or technical issues
✅ Follow company rules, policies, and safety standards

📜 What You Need to Apply (Minimum Requirements)

🎓 Qualifications:
✅ Matric (Grade 12) – Required

💼 Experience (Preferred but Not Required):
✅ Previous experience as a Cashier is a plus

🌍 Other Requirements:
✅ Fluent in English
✅ Must live within 15km of the store
✅ Clear criminal record
✅ Willing to work shifts, including weekends
