What You’ll Do in This Job

As a Data Capturer, your job is to accurately input HIV and TB-related information into THC’s systems. You’ll make sure this data is correct and submitted on time. This helps doctors and counsellors track treatment and care for patients — especially those in correctional facilities. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

Capture HIV and TB data from different sources (patient forms, lab results, etc.)
Send in reports on time to regional data managers
Stay in touch with healthcare staff and programme leaders
Help check the quality of the data through regular audits
File and organise patients’ and inmates’ records carefully and securely
Attend data review meetings at correctional centres
Keep signed copies of monthly and quarterly reports
Follow all privacy rules when working with patient or inmate information
Report any issues with data capturing immediately
Document your daily work and submit monthly updates

What You’ll Need to Apply

To get this job, you need to have:

Matric (Grade 12)
A diploma or degree in a related field, OR at least 2 years of experience doing similar work
3+ years of experience in data capturing, verification, or quality assurance
Experience using net data management systems
Basic computer skills – you should know Microsoft Office
Good English communication – isiZulu will be a bonus
A valid Code 08 driver’s licence
Experience working in correctional services will give you an edge
