The Department of Employment and Labour invites unemployed South Africans to apply for the UIF Labour Activation Programme Learnerships (X250 Posts) for 2025/2026. Applications are now open for young and adult job seekers eager to gain real work experience and hands-on training in different fields that help grow South Africa’s economy.

Through a partnership with We Invest Africa, this exciting opportunity aims to support former UIF contributors who are currently unemployed. Successful learners will receive monthly stipends while building valuable skills in areas like building and civil construction, farming, plant production, and animal production. The programme offers a chance to learn, grow, and start shaping a brighter future.

What the Programme Is All About

South Africa continues to face high unemployment, especially among young people. The UIF Labour Activation Programme is designed to change that. This programme does more than teach—it helps people build confidence, gain industry knowledge, and prepare for real opportunities in growing sectors like construction and agriculture.
