The Limpopo Department of Education 120x Learner Support Agent (LSA) Programme for 2025/2026

The Limpopo Department of Education is giving unemployed youth an amazing chance to gain work experience through the Learner Support Agent (LSA) Programme for 2025/2026. A total of 120 positions are open across the province on a nine-month contract — from November 2025 to April 2026.

💼 Contract Period: November 2025 – April 2026
💰 Stipend: R4,000 per month

🌟 About the Programme

The Learner Support Agent (LSA) initiative helps strengthen schools while empowering local youth. Participants will assist teachers, learners, and school administrators, gaining valuable experience in education, administration, and community engagement.

This programme is part of the Department of Basic Education’s effort to reduce youth unemployment and build stronger school communities.


🧠 Duties and Responsibilities

As an LSA, your daily duties will include:

  • Assisting teachers with classroom preparation and learner support.
  • Helping with administrative tasks like filing, record-keeping, and exam prep.
  • Supporting school management teams in organising learner activities.
  • Acting as a link between learners, teachers, and parents to improve communication.
  • Performing other reasonable duties as assigned by the principal or supervisors.

✅ Minimum Requirements

To qualify, applicants must:

  • Be South African citizens with a valid ID.
  • Reside in Limpopo, preferably near the school you’re applying to.
  • Hold a Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
  • Be aged 18 to 35 years old.
  • Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to work under supervision and support both academic and admin tasks.

🏫 Placement Information

The 120 posts will be distributed among various schools and circuits in Limpopo, including:
Nkowankowa, Giyani, Letaba, Lebopo, Mutale, Mamaila, Lulekani, Namakgale, and more.
Applicants should apply for schools closest to their area of residence to enhance accessibility and community impact.
