Toyota Instructor Maintenance Learnership (12 months FTC)

What Will You Do as a Toyota Instructor Maintenance Learner?

During this learnership, you’ll play a key role in helping Toyota meet its training goals. You will assist with teaching, assessing, and supporting learners at the Technical Training Centre to ensure high-quality vehicle production. Here’s what your work will involve:

  • Finding out what Toyota staff and operators need to learn to do their jobs better.
  • Helping operators learn by guiding them through training programs based on official unit standards.
  • Assessing how well operators do their tasks according to set criteria.
  • Checking and moderating assessments to maintain quality and fairness.
  • Reviewing and updating course materials to meet TETA (Training and Education Training Authority) guidelines.
  • Teaching all the different modules in the Technical Training Centre’s Motorised Division by learning a variety of skills.
  • Assisting with the development and growth of staff through training.
  • Making sure safety rules and quality management systems like ISO 14001 and 9000 are followed.
  • Managing training schedules and ensuring enough manpower is present.
  • Coming up with new and cost-saving ideas to improve training and maintenance processes.
  • Taking care of equipment and stores safely and efficiently.

What Skills and Qualifications Will Help You Succeed?

To join this learnership, you need the right background and certifications:

  • National Qualification Framework Level 4 (NQF Level 4).
  • AMIC certification in Production is essential.
  • Between 3 to 5 years’ experience in technical training, preferably related to motorised or automotive sectors.
  • Must be a registered Facilitator, Assessor, and Moderator with TETA accreditation.
  • Comfortable using basic computer tools like Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organization and communication skills to handle training and development tasks smoothly.
