Tronox Scholarship for Grade 9–11 Learners (2025 Intake)

Who Can Apply

To be considered for the Tronox Scholarship for 2026, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Must be in Grade 9, 10, or 11 in 2025
• Must have achieved at least 65 percent overall in the previous grade and in the third term of the current grade
• Must have a minimum of 65 percent for Mathematics in both the previous and current academic results
• Strong academic performance is required
• Maths Literacy will not be considered
• Physical Science is beneficial, although not compulsory
• Must be a South African citizen
• Must show proof of financial need
• Must reside in the Saldanha or Matzikama Municipal areas
• Must attend a school registered with the Basic Education and Training (BET) department

Applicants should make sure that they meet the requirements before applying, as incomplete applications or those that do not meet the criteria will not be accepted.

Application Documents Required

Applicants must prepare the following documents before applying:

• A full curriculum vitae
• Final report from the previous grade and third-term report from the current grade
• A certified copy of their unabridged birth certificate
• Certified ID copies of parents or guardians
• Proof of residential address showing that the learner lives in the Saldanha or Matzikama areas

All documents must be submitted on or before 02 December 2025. Only applications submitted with all required supporting documents will be reviewed. No late applications will be accepted.
