Job Purpose

As a Bar Attendant at Tsebo, your main job will be to prepare and serve drinks to guests. You will help create a fun and welcoming atmosphere for customers while ensuring that everything stays clean, organized, and fully stocked. Main Responsibilities

As a Bar Attendant, you will:

Prepare and serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to recipes and customer preferences.
Keep the bar area clean, tidy, and fully stocked at all times.
Wash and sanitize all glassware, utensils, and equipment regularly.
Keep track of inventory and help with ordering and restocking supplies.
Monitor usage and reduce wastage to support cost control.
Assist in creating and updating drink menus, including seasonal specials.
Provide friendly, quick, and professional service to all guests.
Handle cash and card transactions accurately.
Follow all health, safety, and hygiene rules, including responsible alcohol service.

Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service.
Report any issues or shortages to management quickly.
Help train and mentor new bar staff.

Skills and Competencies Needed

To succeed in this role, you need to have:

Strong knowledge of drinks, including cocktails, spirits, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Great attention to detail when preparing and presenting drinks.

Ability to work well with other staff members.

Qualifications Required

Matric Certificate (Grade 12).
1 to 2 years of experience as a bar attendant or bartender (preferred).
Basic knowledge of drinks and mixology.
A qualification in Food & Beverage or Hospitality will be an advantage.
