As a Receptionist, you will be responsible for creating a great first impression. Your day will be filled with answering phones, helping visitors, coordinating deliveries, and keeping the front office running smoothly. You’ll also assist with basic admin support and ensure the reception area and meeting rooms are always neat, tidy, and ready to go.

🧾 What You’ll Be Doing

Here’s what a typical day might look like in this role:

  • Welcoming visitors with professionalism and a friendly attitude.
  • Managing the front desk, including phone calls and correspondence.
  • Ensuring the reception area stays clean and presentable at all times.
  • Signing in all contractors, visitors, and clients using proper procedures.
  • Managing and preparing the boardroom for meetings – including lighting, aircon, cleanliness, and bookings.
  • Receiving, sorting, and distributing all incoming mail and courier deliveries.
  • Assisting with outgoing mail, filing, and weigh bills.
  • Helping colleagues with typing, copying, and document binding.
  • Providing general office support when needed.

What You’ll Need to Qualify

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • Grade 12 / Matric certificate
  • A tertiary qualification in office admin or equivalent experience (advantageous)
  • Computer skills (especially MS Office)
  • Familiarity with basic office systems, filing, and mail procedures
  • A professional phone manner and excellent interpersonal communication
  • A strong sense of integrity, responsibility, and resilience
