What You’ll Be Doing Every Day

As a UCT Transport Driver, your job will be more than just driving. You’ll become part of a team responsible for keeping the university moving.

Your tasks will include:

• Transporting students, staff, and visitors between campuses, residences, and official stops
• Using a waybill system to track routes and passengers
• Keeping your vehicle clean, safe, and road-ready at all times
• Practicing defensive driving and reacting calmly in emergency situations
• Giving passengers friendly, professional service
• Following all national road traffic rules and university guidelines

You’ll report to the Operations Manager and may also be given other duties as required.

Who Should Apply?

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 certificate or NQF Level 4
• 5 years’ experience in the Passenger Transport Industry
• Valid South African Driver’s License – Code C or EC
• Professional Driver’s Permit (PrDP)

• Willingness to work shifts and under pressure

Extra Advantage:
