This is a full-time cleaner job in the Housing and Residence Affairs department at UFS. As a cleaner, you’ll help keep the student residences clean, safe, and neat for everyone staying there. You’ll be working closely with other staff and following clear cleaning guidelines to make sure everything is spotless and in good condition.

📋 What Will You Be Doing?

Here’s what your day-to-day job will look like:

• Clean student residences and other areas as assigned
• Follow the All-Care Colour-Coding System for proper cleaning practices
• Use cleaning materials and equipment correctly and safely
• Take care of cleaning tools and report if anything is broken
• Wear protective gear and follow safety rules
• Clean during student conferences (includes making and removing bed linen)
• Keep restrooms and storage rooms neat and tidy
• Work weekends if needed during busy times

🧾 Requirements You Must Meet

To apply for this job, you must have:

• At least Grade 10 or NQF Level 2
• Experience doing similar cleaning tasks (especially helpful)

🌟 It’s a Bonus If You Have:

• 2+ years working with a colour-coded cleaning system
• A certificate in colour-coded cleaning
