What You’ll Be Doing on the Job

Job Requirements: What You Need to Qualify

Before you apply, make sure you meet these requirements:

Minimum education: Grade 10 or equivalent
A valid Code 10 driver’s license with a PDP (Professional Driving Permit)
At least 3 years of experience driving an articulated (heavy) vehicle
You must be medically fit to drive
No criminal record
You must know how to drive using Eaton Fuller or ZF gearboxes
Understanding of how vehicle parts work and where they are located
Knowledge of traffic laws and what to do in emergencies
Able to inspect a vehicle and use a fire extinguisher if needed
You should know how to load cargo properly and drive efficiently
