What You Will Be Doing Daily

As a Pump Attendant, your main responsibility is to make sure the dewatering pumps on-site are always running properly. These pumps help remove water from mining areas so that operations can continue safely and smoothly.

Monitoring Pump Performance

You will keep an eye on the pumps throughout the day to make sure they don’t stop or show signs of problems. Continuous monitoring helps prevent breakdowns, flooding, and downtime.

Inspecting Equipment and Detecting Problems Early

Part of your job is inspecting hoses, pipes, valves, and other connections. You’ll look for leaks, wear, cracks, or anything that seems unusual. If something needs attention, you report it right away to the maintenance team.

Reporting Faults and Safety Risks
