This opportunity is perfect for someone who has at least 3 years of truck driving experience (Code EC license with a valid PrDP) and is ready to take their career to the next level. You don’t need to have teaching or training experience – you’ll be trained while you work!
What Does a Trainee Driver Trainer Do?
As a Trainee Driver Trainer, you’ll be learning how to help other drivers improve their skills. You’ll work closely with experienced trainers who will show you everything you need to know. Here’s what you’ll do:
Training Support & Delivery
- Watch how professional trainers teach and help them during sessions.
- Join in driver coaching programs and safety briefings.
- Support with practical, on-road training.
- Help teach new drivers during inductions and refresher training.
- Assist with internal and official training events (like TETA programs).
- Help improve training materials and lessons.
Admin & Compliance Duties
- Keep track of training records and driver attendance.
- Make sure driver licenses and permits are up-to-date.
- Help create performance reports and training feedback.
- Update internal systems with training data.
Operational Support
- Help dispatch trucks and check on training vehicle maintenance.
- Join in audits, vehicle inspections, and incident checks.
Safety & Performance
- Watch and report how drivers behave on the road.
- Help reinforce safe driving after training sessions.
- Join safety talks and discussions about driving gear and road rules.
- Encourage good health, safety, and respectful behavior in the workplace.
