As a Footwear Buyer, you will play a key role in selecting the latest VANS products for the South African market. Your job is to make sure that the right footwear is available for both VANS retail stores and wholesale partners by understanding trends, customer demand, and business strategy.

✅ Key Responsibilities

🔥 Buying Strategy

✔ Attend seasonal sales meetings to stay ahead of sneaker trends
✔ Choose the best footwear for the South African market
✔ Become an expert in VANS products, features, and categories
✔ Understand retail & wholesale strategy to improve sales
✔ Analyze pricing trends to set competitive price points
✔ Track sales patterns and forecast demand for future seasons
✔ Build and manage product ranges for retail and wholesale

🤝 Operational Partnerships

✔ Work closely with global and wholesale partners
✔ Manage delivery, samples, and showrooms
✔ Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to boost underperforming products
✔ Lead sell-in sessions to introduce new products to retailers
✔ Support store openings with proper stock planning
✔ Ensure visual merchandising follows brand standards

📊 Reporting & Analytics

✔ Monitor stock arrivals, sales, and inventory
✔ Maintain inventory tracker & seasonal sales analysis
✔ Help with global forecasts and trend analysis
✔ Recommend best merchandising strategies to maximize sales

🎓 Who Should Apply? (Requirements)

✔ Degree/Diploma in Retail, Supply Chain, Merchandise Management, or a related field
✔ 3 – 5 years’ experience in buying, merchandising, or planning
✔ Knowledge of ERP systems (Enterprise Resource Planning)
✔ Strong Excel skills – must be good with numbers!
✔ Passion for sneaker culture, skate/surf, and lifestyle fashion
