📦 What You’ll Be Doing as a General Worker

As a General Worker at Vector Logistics, your main job is to assist in warehouse operations, ensuring stock is properly loaded, packed, and counted. You will also help with housekeeping, deliveries, and maintaining health and safety standards.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

✅ General Warehouse Duties

• Sweeping and cleaning the warehouse.
• Assisting with picking and packing orders.
• Loading and wrapping pallets and products.
• Operating pallet jacks and forklifts (if licensed).
• Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for truck loading.

✅ Stock Handling & Wrapping

• Sorting and packing products according to instructions.
• Removing damaged or poor-quality stock before loading.
• Assisting in checking stock before delivery.

✅ Housekeeping & Organization

• Keeping warehouse clean, neat, and organized.
• Ensuring all pallet boards and waste materials are removed promptly.
• Maintaining proper storage and stacking of goods.

✅ Stock Counting & Preparation

• Assisting with warehouse stock counts.
• Ensuring damaged stock is isolated and labeled.
• Reporting problematic stock to the Warehouse Controller.

✅ Timekeeping & Attendance

• Clocking in and out on time.
• Keeping overtime to a minimum.
• Reporting any late arrivals or issues to the Warehouse Controller.

✅ Health & Safety Compliance

• Following all occupational health & safety regulations.
• Ensuring a clean and hazard-free work environment.
• Keeping freezer doors closed to maintain temperature control.
• Preventing fire and accident risks through safe work practices.

✅ Teamwork & Self-Management

• Taking ownership of your tasks and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Supporting team goals and company core values.
• Maintaining a professional and positive attitude at work.

🎓 What You Need to Apply

✔️ Matric (Grade 12) is required.
✔️ Must be physically fit (lifting, loading, and moving stock).
✔️ Must have sober habits (no substance abuse).
✔️ At least 1 year of experience in warehousing (preferred but not required).
