Volkswagen Group South Africa (VWSA) is calling on passionate young South Africans to apply for its Learnership and Technical Apprenticeship Programme for 2026/2027. This opportunity is perfect for anyone dreaming of building a successful career in the technical and trade fields. The training will take place at the world-class Technical Learning Academy (TLA), with support from the Union, as part of Volkswagen’s ongoing commitment to skills development, transformation, and empowering communities across the country.

What This Learnership Offers

The Volkswagen Learnership Programme gives young people access to full-time, hands-on training in different technical and trade disciplines. It aims to prepare learners with practical knowledge and workplace skills that are essential for success in South Africa’s growing automotive and manufacturing industries.

Through this programme, learners get the best of both worlds — real industry experience and quality theoretical learning — guided by expert trainers in a professional and supportive environment.

Available Fields of Training

Applicants can apply for one of the following apprenticeship options:

  • Electrical
  • Mechanical Fitter
