Sibanye-Stillwater, one of South Africa’s leading mining companies, is looking for ten experienced Protection Services Officers to join their Region Services SA Protection Services PGM team in 2025.

Minimum Requirements
To apply, you must have:
- Medically fit status (confirmed via a risk-based medical exam at the Sibanye-Stillwater Occupational Health Centre)
- Clear security screening record
- Valid Regulations 21 Certificate
- Firearm competency from SAPS (handgun, shotgun, self-loading rifle, or carbine) – or the ability to get this soon
- Valid driver’s license
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar security role
- Grade B PSIRA registration
- NQF Level 4 (Grade 12 or NSC for Adults)
Key Responsibilities
- Enforce the Security Policy, Code of Conduct, and Security Procedures
- Supervise security staff in your assigned area
- Conduct site inspections, pocketbook checks, and shift handovers
- Collect and share crime-related intelligence with your team
- Ensure full compliance with all security and operational standards
- Complete and review registers, control sheets, and incident logs
- Detect, respond to, and report security incidents promptly
- Conduct firearm safety checks and alarm tests
- Perform waybill spot checks and escort monitoring
- Submit regular risk assessments and equipment reports
