18 Paid Digital Ambassador Jobs Open Now – NEMISA Wants You for a 6-Month Tech Training Role!

NEMISA Invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their Digital Ambassador Vacancies (18 Posts). The closing date for applications is 26 June 2025 at 16:30.

Looking for a paid opportunity that combines technology, education, and community upliftment? The National Electronic Media Institute of South Africa (NEMISA) is giving 18 people across the country a chance to become Digital Ambassadors through their Ya Rona Digital Programme.

If you’re passionate about technology, helping others, and building your career, this six-month opportunity could be exactly what you need. You’ll receive a monthly stipend, gain hands-on tech and teaching experience, and be trained to make real change in your community by helping others learn digital skills.

What Is the Ya Rona Digital Programme?

The Ya Rona Digital Programme is designed to close the gap between people and technology in South Africa. By training Digital Ambassadors, the programme brings basic tech education to towns, villages, and communities that need it the most.

Each Ambassador will first receive digital skills training. After that, they’ll lead classes, workshops, and sessions in their area using a structured digital learning platform. It’s a short-term contract—but it’s packed with long-term value.

Your Main Duties as a Digital Ambassador

As a Digital Ambassador, your main job is to teach digital skills to everyday people in your area—especially those who need it most. Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Complete your own digital literacy training first
  • Take part in daily sessions to grow your own tech knowledge
  • Train community members using a Learner Management System (LMS)
  • Work with local municipalities to organize venues
  • Track your training progress weekly and report it
  • Set clear learning goals for each group
  • Help schools, community centres, and organizations understand digital tools
  • Write and submit weekly reports and plans

This isn’t just a job—it’s a mission to bring more people online, give them access to opportunities, and build a smarter, more connected country.
