Looking for a paid opportunity that combines technology, education, and community upliftment? The National Electronic Media Institute of South Africa (NEMISA) is giving 18 people across the country a chance to become Digital Ambassadors through their Ya Rona Digital Programme.
If you’re passionate about technology, helping others, and building your career, this six-month opportunity could be exactly what you need. You’ll receive a monthly stipend, gain hands-on tech and teaching experience, and be trained to make real change in your community by helping others learn digital skills.
The Ya Rona Digital Programme is designed to close the gap between people and technology in South Africa. By training Digital Ambassadors, the programme brings basic tech education to towns, villages, and communities that need it the most.
Each Ambassador will first receive digital skills training. After that, they’ll lead classes, workshops, and sessions in their area using a structured digital learning platform. It’s a short-term contract—but it’s packed with long-term value.

This is a six-month fixed-term contract, and you’ll get a monthly stipend. While the exact amount isn’t mentioned, it will help with basic living costs during the programme. This is a great way to gain experience while earning.
To apply for one of the 18 positions, follow these steps carefully:
If you want to start your tech journey, teach others, and uplift your community, don’t miss this chance. NEMISA’s Ya Rona Digital Programme gives you the tools to grow your future and help others do the same.
